Another busy week for the children and teachers. We have a lot of extra activities happening and it certainly keeps everyone on their toes.

This week our teaching team participated in the first of many Professional Development sessions with Andrea Piters from Auckland University. Our focus when working with Andrea this year is Reading and Writing and there will be a lot of new developments to share.  On Tuesday back by popular demand was the water slide! It was fantastic to see the children’s enjoyment and sliding skills.  Room 3 and 4 have been traveling to the Levin Aquatic Centre for extension swimming and water survival skills.  It is always great to see our Manakau students showing their Personal Best.  The feedback from the swimming instructors is always positive and although we are all works in progress our children really try to live our values – Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Diversity, Excellence.
