Out-of-zone enrolments are governed by our school’s enrolment scheme and the provisions of the Education Act 1989.
If there are places available for students who are out of zone, the Board will advertise to the community and publish the number of places available, the year levels, the ballot dates, how applications are to be made and the dates by which applications must be received. If there are more students than places available a ballot will be held. If further information is required please refer to the Ministry link below.

•The northern boundary line crosses State Highway One at Tatum Park such that the Tatum Park address is in zone for Manakau School.
•The southern boundary line starts at the sea, just south of the Waikawa Beach settlement and moving to the east is a line such that Wairongomai Road is not in zone, Taylors Road (off SH1) is in zone and the boundary crosses SH1 north of the Otaki township.
Waitohu Valley Road addresses south of the Horowhenua/Kapiti Coast District boundary, including Greenwood Boulevard, Sunglo Terrace and Ringawhati Road addresses are not in zone.
In other words the Manakau School home zone southern boundary line crosses Waitohu Valley Road at a point that is to the north of an established quarry on Waitohu Valley Road, and extends to the Tararua Ranges.
All residential addresses on included sides of boundary roads and all no exit roads off included sides of boundary roads are included in the zone unless otherwise stated.
